The name Viet Huong was inspired by the desire to evoke the essence of pure Vietnamese flavors – the rustic, nostalgic taste that made Hai Duong mung bean cakes famous. At Viet Huong, we believe that each piece of cake is not merely a culinary gift, but a continuation of the Vietnamese spirit passed down through generations.
While rooted in tradition, Viet Huong continuously innovates to introduce unique and healthful flavors such as honey, green tea, lotus seed, gac fruit, durian, and ginseng. Despite our creativity, we remain devoted and meticulous in every step of traditional cake-making, preserving the rustic mung bean flavor — the soul of this delicacy.
For that reason, Viet Huong is more than just a cake brand — it is a promise to preserve and share the culinary heritage of Vietnam with the world.
Formation and Development
Late 1990s: Viet Huong’s founder began the journey with traditional mung bean flour and cake making, gaining valuable experience and a deep love for this culturally rich cake.
2008: Viet Huong Joint Stock Company was officially established with the mission to build an innovative mung bean cake brand, blending traditional values with modern technology to improve quality and output.
2014–2018: A breakthrough period with the launch of unique new flavors:
- 2014: Introduced honey and lotus seed flavors — elegant and nutritious.
- 2016: Green tea flavor launched — a harmony of Asian essence and modern taste.
- 2017: Released two distinctive flavors — ginseng and gac fruit — symbols of health and creativity.
- 2018: Introduced durian flavor, appealing to bold and unique palates.
- Until now, honey, ginseng, and gac remain Viet Huong’s exclusive flavors that define its unique identity in the market.
- 2020: Major investments in packaging design for a luxurious, elegant, and modern look, along with production optimization for higher efficiency and consistent quality.
- 2022–2025: Ongoing factory expansion and modernization to meet international standards.
Over nearly 20 years, Viet Huong has proudly received numerous prestigious awards such as the Golden Cup for Safe Brands for Public Health, OCOP Certification, and the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods title.



Production Capacity
With a modern 4,000 m² factory and a capacity of up to 40 tons per day, Viet Huong is among the few mung bean cake producers in Vietnam operating at a fully industrial and closed-loop scale. The entire process is automated and follows ISO 22000:2018 standards, ensuring food safety, quality, and environmental friendliness.
Especially notable is Viet Huong’s full control of the entire production chain — from raw material selection to processing and packaging. This allows us to strictly control quality, preserve traditional flavors, and strengthen our reputation in both domestic and international markets.
Mission
Viet Huong carries the mission of preserving and spreading the essence of Vietnamese cuisine through traditional delicacies.
We hope not only to see mung bean cakes cherished in our homeland but also to proudly introduce them to international friends as a symbol of Vietnamese culinary culture.
